Confovis measurement technology allows contactless inspection of all kinds of surfaces using structured lighting and focus variation. Depending on the branch, the specific requirements are identified, implemented in the project, and turned into an optimised customer solution. These not only encompass hardware and system components, user training and commissioning. The user is also endowed with the many analytical possibilities of the measurement and analysis software.

Automotive and supplier industry rely on Confovis measuring systems

For high-precision analysis of tribological properties of functional surfaces as well as for shape and contour analysis of components, customers in the automotive and supplier industries rely on non-destructive and close-coupled measuring systems from Confovis.

Tool making and mechanical engineering

Confovis measuring systems measure the shape and contour of e.g. cutting edges as well as profile- and area-based roughness with a high degree of precision while at the same time maintaining traceability and standards compliance. Thanks to the technology used, the measuring devices supply reliable measurements, even for high-performance surfaces, such as those on diamond (PCD/MCD) tools.

Surface treatment

In the sector of laser structuring, grinding and polishing, the optical measuring technology also measures reflective surfaces with nanometre precision. These provide evidence of surface properties, which then provide the basis for product and process optimisation.

Medical technology

For medical products, very high standards regarding function reliability are in the foreground. In this sector, touchless measuring technology allows quality inspection of all types and sizes of implants, for example – and this at every stage of production.

Semiconductor

With high-precision and touchless measuring technology from Confovis, examples of what can be measured during wafer manufacture are Through Silican Via (TSV) and bumps. It is also possible to automate wafer micro-structures and saw cuts as well as measure these three-dimensionally.

Additive Manufacturing

By means of additive manufacturing technology, geometries which are not possible using established manufacturing processes can be achieved. To monitor the surface quality throughout the entire process chain, 3D measurement technology is used.
